Unmanned aircraft have revolutionized how businesses and public safety agencies can collect information. As drones continue to play an increasingly critical role in these operations, it is essential that commercial and public safety drone pilots undergo proper flight training to develop the skills necessary to operate these machines safely and effectively.
Quantum Leap UAS offers a 16-hour Basic Flight Training Course. This comprehensive training program is designed to equip new drone pilots with the necessary skills to operate drones safely and legally in the national airspace system. This training program is tailored to individuals who have already passed the FAA Part 107 test and completed our Basic 16-hour Basic Classroom course, making it an excellent option for commercial and public safety drone pilots who want to transition from knowledge-based learning to basic flight skills development.
The course covers the practical aspects of drone flight, including proper pre-flight planning, risk management, actual hands-on flight training, and standardized communications while on the flight line. We then move into more advanced operations such as working a scene with several drones operating in the same airspace, emergency procedures. and obtaining the necessary approval to fly in controlled airspace. Our instructors provide hands-on guidance and feedback to students. We will help your new pilots develop their flight skills while preparing them to safely overcome unforeseen situations and in-flight emergencies.
